Sherri Sorro Delaplane is a certified trainer with the Center for Compassionate Communication. She has been teaching and living this process since 1996 working with organizations, institutions, families, relationships and individuals. CNVC is a world wide organization based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D.

How many times have you heard or said: the problem is "he/she/they just can't communicate" and it has caused pain, sadness, misunderstandings, confusion, etc? What if there is a Language of the Heart that connects people to one another and is learnable? There is. That language is NVC, also known as Compassionate Communication (terms used interchangeably).

CC is founded on skills that strengthen our ability to resolve our differences peacefully and to express our joy and gratitude more easily.  It emphasizes taking personal responsibility for our choices and improving the quality of relationships as a primary goal.

Participants will learn:

Skills to address current or unresolved feelings and needs from a totally different mindset that doesn't use a language that can create disconnection through criticism and blame.

How to break patterns from the past that led to defensiveness and how to bridge those conflicts to peace.

Skills to become a more effective communicator, educator and negotiator.

Learn how to take these words and transform them:

From Ignored to being heard and to mattering,

Confusion to clarity,

Loneliness to connection,

Defensiveness to openness and willingness,

Criticism to shared understanding.

This workshop is unpredictable, informal, supportive and most of all alive and fun.
